Practical, honest support for real relationships, wherever you are in your journey
Relationships aren’t always easy. But they don’t have to stay stuck.
Maybe you’re dealing with infidelity, struggling to reconnect after parenting changes, or just feeling more like housemates than partners. Perhaps things feel tense but you don’t know why. Or you're considering separation and want to understand whether it’s really the end.
Whatever brings you here, relationship counselling offers a way to pause, reflect, and start moving forward, together or apart, with greater clarity.
Couples counselling with a difference
As The Relationship Specialist, I work with couples at all stages:
Before marriage or commitment
Long-term partnerships that want a reset
Relationships in crisis
Couples considering separation
Families dealing with complex dynamics
You might be in a heterosexual, same-sex, or non-traditional relationship. You might even be a parent and child or in a business partnership. The form of the relationship doesn’t matter. What matters is the connection between you and what you want to do about it.
Over time, even the best relationships hit challenges. We all develop habits and responses that made sense once but stop working later. Sometimes we grow apart. Sometimes we just stop listening.
This is where couples therapy comes in.
What happens in couples therapy?
Counselling with me isn’t abstract or clinical. In essence, it’s a conversation but one with purpose, structure, and insight. I guide you through a process that helps you reflect, rethink patterns, and find new ways to relate.
We’ll work together to:
Understand what’s really going on underneath the tension
Improve how you communicate and handle conflict
Build trust, respect and emotional safety
Explore whether and how you want to move forward together
Make clear, confident decisions about your relationship
Sometimes this work helps people stay together with renewed connection. Sometimes it helps couples separate more amicably. Either way, the aim is to leave therapy with more clarity and less circling.
The process
Initial Assessment
Our first session is a structured but informal conversation. Each of you will have space to share your perspective, and I’ll explain how the process works. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of whether couples therapy is right for you, and often, even this first session can feel like a relief.
Ongoing Sessions
We’ll meet every few weeks for 90-minute sessions. Some will focus on practical relationship tools, others will help you reflect on changes and progress. You’ll learn how to notice patterns, stay curious, and communicate in a way that actually works.
